inter airport Europe 2019, the 22nd International Exhibition for Airport Equipment, Technology, Design & Services will take place at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany from 8 – 11 October 2019.
To date, a net exhibition space of almost 30,000 square metres has been booked already, indoors and outdoors. The last event in 2017 closed with a record visitor number: 13,854 trade visitors from 111 countries took part in inter airport Europe 2017.

So far, 460 exhibitors from 35 countries secured their stand at this year’s leading trade exhibition for the airport industry. The most important exhibitor countries are Germany, the USA, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, China, Austria, Belgium and Denmark. Around 80% of the available stand space in the halls and the outdoor area is already booked, with 17,000 square metres outdoors and more than 12,000 square metres in the three exhibition halls.

For this year’s event, the main trends are digitalisation and interconnectedness. This includes apps for passengers, facial recognition and self-boarding in the terminal and technology for predicting queue times to dynamically resource staffing. Furthermore, renewable energy and the decrease in CO2 emissions during ground operations are gaining importance within the industry as well as the redesigning of airports. The improvement of passenger experience is also a main focus, for example when designing rest and seating areas which now feature more comfortable seating options and innovative solutions for sound absorption. Further potential in the airport industry is expected due to a rise in passenger figures which according to ACI Europe, the Airports Council International, increased by 6% at European airports last year. It is anticipated that this will lead to increased investments in the upcoming years.

“This year’s motto for inter airport Europe is “Connecting future airports” and it targets these current developments in the airport industry. Connectivity of airport equipment correlates with digitalisation since a modern, interactive airport cannot exist without interfaces and systems”, says Ulika Tosner, Exhibition Director of Mack Brooks Exhibitions, the organisers of inter airport Europe. “The inter airport Europe exhibition profile now reflects this as well, as we have updated it according to these developments in digitalisation. Therefore, inter airport Europe continues to cover the complete spectrum of the airport, from conventional equipment to innovative technology”, continues Ulika Tosner.

The show profile of inter airport Europe comprises four exhibition categories: interRAMP (ground support equipment), interTERMINAL (technical terminal installations and services), interDATA (IT solutions for the modern, interactive airport) and interDESIGN (architecture and furnishings). The exhibition covers all areas of airport-related technology and services. Exhibitors will present solutions and ideas for the equipment of terminal buildings, the design and planning stage, the latest ground support equipment as well as airport IT systems, all in one place.

Visitors at inter airport Europe are decision-makers, such as professionals from airports and airlines, cargo and handling as well as other specialists from the airport industry. Airport operators in demand of the latest equipment and tailor-made solutions for ground handling, terminal operations, airport IT and airport design visit inter airport Europe in Munich every two years in order to source the latest technology first hand. Visitors to the show are industry experts from airports, airlines, air cargo carriers and aviation support. At the last show in 2017, 74% of visitors were involved in purchasing decisions.

inter airport Europe 2019 will occupy halls B5, B6 and C6 as well as the spacious outdoor area. The opening hours are from Tuesday, 8th October to Thursday, 10th October 2019, from 9am to 5pm and on Friday, 11th October 2019, from 9am to 3pm. The Munich Trade Fair Centre is well-connected and offers a direct shuttle bus service between the exhibition centre and the international airport for the duration of the show.

For companies interested in exhibiting at inter airport Europe 2019 an exhibitor brochure is available in two languages. The brochure contains information regarding the exhibition, available stand options as well as further details regarding the show. The newly designed show website www.interairporteurope.com offers detailed information about the international event.
