Mirasys Ltd., one of the leading suppliers of open platform Video Management and Visual Intelligence Solutions, has upgraded its status in ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) from User to Contributing level.

Mirasys has a long experience of providing solutions through customer specific projects. Instead of offering VMS software only Mirasys tries to find the best solutions for customer needs and business environment and include those into its offerings.

Mirasys is fully committed to the long-term development of IP surveillance solutions. In promoting standardization of IP video surveillance (such as ONVIF Profile S for IP-based video systems and Profile G for storage and retrieval), Mirasys has been a member of ONVIF as a way of promoting compatibility of their products with other ONVIF supported products (cameras and video servers).

"We introduced first ONVIF conformant solution in January 2011 and have a long history as a supporter of ONVIF. Today we are happy to announce that ONVIF has accepted our application to upgrade to the Contributing member level," says Jukka Riivari, CEO of Mirasys. "We believe the importance of ONVIF is growing in maintaining choice for the customers in building cost-effective multivendor solutions instead of single vendor one stop shopping. The recent introduction of Profile G further emphasizes the ambition of ONVIF in building a real standard on which open and robust solutions can be built. We plan to introduce soon our first implementation of Profile G to the market".
