Fluidmesh Networks, a worldwide leader in wireless IP Backhauling systems on the sub-6.0 GHz range, and MOBOTIX, a global leader in high-resolution IP video security cameras, have entered into a technology partnership. Together, the two companies want to offer an enhanced solution to integrators.

As Cosimo Malesci, vice president of channel sales & marketing for Fluidmesh explains, "We're partnering with Mobotix because of the great quality of their IP cameras as well as their decentralized recording capabilities. The ability to record at the camera level results in a much lower data load on the network. This approach is particularly advantageous if combined with our FluidThrottle ‘bandwidth on-demand' technology because it leads to substantial savings in the deployment of the system."

MOBOTIX, which is based in Germany, has been partnering with Fluidmesh in Europe for the past several years, so the progression to the U.S. partnership was a natural one.

"As the global leader in high-resolution IP video security cameras, MOBOTIX seeks out best-in-class technology partners that support the delivery of our high-quality imagery in both a highly reliable and cost effective manner," says Steve Gorski, general manager of the Americas for MOBOTIX. "The importance of wireless networking in video surveillance systems is growing, particularly among large-scale instillations in civic locations. Fluidmesh is an ideal technology partner, enabling MOBOTIX to provide end users with the robust, turnkey wireless security solution that they demand."

"We look forward to partnering with Mobotix to deliver the next generation of wireless video surveillance solutions," Malesci adds.
