Preparations for Sicur 2024

Sicur has begun preparations for its 24th event, organised by Ifema Madrid, to be held in Halls 4, 6, 8 and 10 of the Exhibition Centre, from 27 February to 1 March 2024.

Preparations for Sicur 2024

In this regard - and following the inaugural meeting of the fair's Organising Committee on 10 May - Sicur 2024 confirms the strong backing and participation of the main Associations representing the different sectors that make up the fair's programme. Among them, Tecnifuego (Spanish Association of Fire Protection Companies), whose president, Adrián Gómez, takes on the Chair of the Organising Committee; as well as Aproser - Professional Association of Private Security Services Companies; Asepal - Association of Personal Protection Equipment Companies, and AES - Spanish Association of Security Companies, which occupy the three Vice-Chairs.

The recently established Sicur Organising Committee also includes the participation of other associations representing supply and demand in security, official bodies and public security forces, forming a comprehensive working group focused on promoting greater involvement of the industrial fabric served by Sicur and improving the interaction between exhibitors and the organisation for the effective running of the trade fair and its activities.

Sicur's proven track record and its capacity for business representation and visitor attendance make it one of the most well-established events on the European calendar. Last year, the fair was attended by 1,646 companies (510 with direct participation) and was visited by 38,906 professionals from 59 countries.

The Sicur 2024 Project

Sicur's programme will be presented in various monographic areas representing Fire and Emergency Safety, Occupational Safety, and Private and Public Security, in the Security sector. Furthermore, Sicur Start Ups will bring together a selection of business projects and recently created companies with products and/or services for the security sector, and the Sicur Cyber area will bring together the main suppliers with their range of cybersecurity solutions, accompanied by a programme of conferences, debates and workshops focusing on current challenges in this field.

Sicur and the Organising Committee are also working on the contents of Foro Sicur, the programme of technical seminars, conferences and debates on topical issues for security professionals and users in all sectors of economic activity. Also, as at every event, the Innovation Gallery will offer a selection of cutting-edge innovations, in recognition of the R&D&I efforts made by Sicur's exhibitor companies. There will also be live exhibitions and demonstrations covering different scenarios of response in emergency situations, which will make Sicur a highly dynamic setting for professional interaction.

In addition to on-site participation, the Sicur LiveConnect platform is establishing itself as a major professional network for the security industry, offering its members the opportunity to connect, exchange information, identify interests, set up meetings and display the sector's range of products and services - a tool to promote business networking and interaction with the professional community beyond the geographical area of Sicur.

Internationalisation of the Sicur brand

Meanwhile, as part of its strategic commitment to internationalisation, Ifema Madrd, in alliance with Corferias and Pafyc, will be co-organising the next Colombian International Security Trade Fair, ESS+, to be held from 16 to 18 August at the Corferias exhibition centre in the Colombian capital of Bogota DC, under the brand name 'Powered by Sicur'. In this regard, the Madrid institution will participate directly in the promotion and international marketing of the fair, contributing all its know-how in the organisation of ESS+'s counterpart in Europe, Sicur, the International Security Fair organised by Ifema Madrid since 1981.
