SAIA and the Fire Protection Association of South Africa join hands

The South African Insurance Association (SAIA) and the Fire Protection Association of South Africa (FPASA) have agreed to deliver the vision, mission and objections of the SAIA: Fire Investigations Committee via the FPASA. The SAIA Committee will now become a Steering Committee of the FPASA.

One of these key objectives is for 100% of municipalities to have access to building control services to provide consistent qualified appraisals for fire design in South Africa. In support of this objective Etana has confirmed that they are willing to provide their underwriting software program for piloting to support the relevant skills within the municipality. The guidelines for this to take place will be managed by the FPASA and SAIA accordingly. SAIA will be engaging with the National Disaster Management Centre in this regard.
