Mark Hirst has joined the professional security division of Samsung Techwin as a Business Development Manager

Mark, who has spent the last five years working for Evolution Electronic Security as an Area Sales Manager, has also performed sales roles during his 15 year career in the electronic security industry at Secom Plc and ADT Fire and Security.

Reporting to Simon Shawley, General Manager, UK and Ireland for Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd, Mark will be responsible for developing relationships with key market influencers, including consultants, specifiers, installers and system integrators, in order to identify new sales opportunities for Samsung Techwin's comprehensive range of IP network based video surveillance solutions.

"I am naturally very pleased to have the opportunity to progress my career with such a successful company," said Mark. "I am looking forward to talking to installers and system integrators about how we can work in partnership with them to create new business opportunities by, for example, promoting the benefits of Samsung's LiteNet and WiseNetIII camera ranges which have been introduced as a result of market demand for ‘affordable' high definition cameras and domes."

Commenting on Mark's appointment, Simon Shawley said: "Mark is a highly knowledgeable and experienced security sales professional who I have no doubt will be able to contribute to our ongoing success in the important UK market. He joins a team that is totally committed to providing our fast expanding list of customers with the highest level of pre and post sales support."
