High security modular panel system manufacturer Securiclad has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new draughtsman.

Anil Kuriakose will be working with clients of the North Tyneside-based company to produce general arrangement and manufacturing drawings, which support the design process and enhance the service offered to contractors and end users.

With over 20 years’ experience, Anil has previously held the role of Auto CAD design draughtsman for companies such as Alnmaritec and Continental Crushing & Conveying, as well as working as a structural designer at Babcock International Group. He has worked in industries including marine technology, shipbuilding and engineering.

Anil is a highly experienced structural design draughtsman having studied a draughtsman course in the Industrial Training Institute (National Council on Vocational Training) India. In addition, he also studied commerce (HSC) at Mahatma Gandhi University, India.

Commenting on his new role, said: “Securiclad is renowned for its high-quality, innovative physical security products, I am therefore thrilled to be joining the company. I am looking forward to utilising my experience and skills to support our customers in safeguarding sensitive data, hardware, hazardous materials, infrastructure and valuable goods and equipment.”

Mike McColl, managing director of Securiclad, said: “2017 has been a year of continued growth for Securiclad and we’re delighted to welcome Anil to the Securiclad team.

“We pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive service and I am confident Anil’s extensive knowledge and experience will contribute greatly to this, as he works closely with contractors and end users throughout the project design process on creating secure environments.”

Anil’s appointment comes at a time of growth for Securiclad as this year the company has launched Ballistaclad, an enhanced ballistic protection system. The Ballisticlad high security panels have achieved ballistic testing to EN1522/23 (1999) FB5 and FB6 ratings, meaning they are certified to withstand firepower from AK47s and other assault rifles.

Securiclad, which is manufactured in North Tyneside, is delivered across the UK and abroad. Securiclad can be offered as a turnkey solution, via approved and certified personnel or on a supply-only basis for contractors who prefer to install the system themselves. Securiclad can also be supplied fully assembled as a smaller kiosk, guard hut or small storage space.
