Sicurezza – This Year And Next
Are you looking for a convincing reason to take an enjoyable business trip to the stunning Italian Adriatic coast in November this year? Well in Bari, the capital of southern Italy’s Puglia region, you can attend the ‘MIBA Levante’, the MIBA spin-off organized by Fiera Milano in collaboration with Pentastudio, whose first edition is scheduled to take place there on 18 and 19 November this year.
MIBA is the format that brings together four exhibitions - GEE, MADE expo, Sicurezza, and Smart Building Expo - representing the entire supply chain of design, construction, security and building redevelopment. The event was created with the aim of addressing the needs of the Southern Italian market and, more broadly, the Mediterranean area, offering an exhibition and educational program focused on the energy and digital transition of the building stock. The choice of Apulia reflects the dynamics of the region: the construction sector in Southern Italy exceeds €90 billion, with particularly active redevelopment and energy efficiency markets.

Meanwhile, the 2027 edition of Sicurezza is already showing an extremely positive re-booking level for next year: numerous industry leaders have already renewed their confidence in the project, and more than 60% of the available exhibition area has already been booked. Paola Sarco, Head of Building & Industrial Exhibitions at Fiera Milano, commented, “More than a year before the event, many companies have already come on board, and a very positive signal is coming from the international front, with 30% of participating companies coming from abroad, particularly from Spain, Germany, France and China. This is concrete evidence of the market’s confidence and of the exhibition’s ability to attract an increasingly representative offering.”
Further strengthening the international dimension will be the introduction of the ‘Guest Country’ initiative: for 2027. Spain has been selected, with the involvement of institutional bodies and trade associations in discussions on the most relevant topics for the sector. The exhibition is developing projects together with scientific partners, with the aim of interpreting the market’s main evolutionary trends: systems integration, process digitization, the evolution of artificial intelligence applied to physical security, cybersecurity, and the growing convergence between physical and logical security. These themes are increasingly being applied in more complex contexts - from buildings to critical infrastructure, from urban to industrial environments - and require an integrated and multidisciplinary approach.
Sicurezza 2027 from17 to 19 November at Fiera Milano in Milan will again cover all segments of the security and fire industries: from video surveillance to access control, from intrusion detection to cybersecurity, and with an expanded offering dedicated to strategic markets such as fire protection and remotely controlled vehicles. The event will take place concurrently with SBE Smart Building Expo, Made expo, and GEE, the Global Elevator Exhibition. All exhibitions are part of MIBA, the Milan International Building Alliance.
