Christmas without presents? Many adults may find a gift-free Christmas acceptable in our secular age of material well-being, but children would see things completely differently. That's why SimonsVoss decided over ten years ago that it preferred to donate to charity instead of giving gifts to the company's customers, friends and partners. SimonsVoss has found the perfect partner in the SOS Children's Villages charitable organisation, founded by Hermann Gmeiner in 1949. Today, it runs over 2,400 centres for children in 133 countries worldwide. SimonsVoss has donated some €125,000 to the association to date and urges other companies to do the same. This year, the company chose the SOS Children's Village Worpswede in Germany and the SOS Children's Village Vientiane in Laos, donating €5,000 to each.
