Sorhea Launches New Fence Detection System
Sorhea is launching a new detector cable, the G-Fence 2400 system. The cable can be installed on all types of fences. Alarm messages are transmitted via three outputs specific to the system.
Transmission works via two-point switching outputs, IP network via Modbus or API protocols, as well as Maxibus.
The G-Fence 2400 is easy to install and consists of standard cables with molded accelerometers and a control unit. The system can be managed directly from a web server integrated in the control unit; no other tool or program is required. Sorhea's sensor cable is particularly easy to install and maintain. In case of cable breakage, the disconnected part can be restored by simply connecting the electrical wires.
Multimode alarm transmission and remote control
There is no need to select an alarm transmission mode anymore: Everything is integrated in the G-Fence 2400 system. The versatile system is designed to adapt to different installation conditions. In addition to the twelve two-point switching outputs, the system provides for a Modbus TCP output for direct integration with VMS via API, as well as a bus output specifically for Sorhea products. Thus, it is possible to network not only several control units, but also the Maxiris, Piramid as well as MI8 products and then connect them to the Maxibus Universal. These transmission modes are available simultaneously.
Benefits for users and system integrators:
- Adaptation of the solution to all site architectures
- Optimized commissioning through remote parameterization (via UG or Maxibus)
- Reduced maintenance time and costs through remote access to an event log with timestamp, real-time display of intrusion attempts, and general status of the system (via UG or Maxibus).
- Scalable solution. System update possible without replacing a single component.
Fully integrated solution
The G-Fence 2400 system consists of 100 m long detector cables with potted sensors connected to a control unit. It is easy to install on all types of fences, both outdoor and indoor. The cable can also be mounted on wall panels to detect any attempts of cutting, piercing or tearing. In the event of a cable break, simply connect to the damaged section and the system is repaired. LEDs built into the sensors make it easy to adjust sensitivity and locate faults.
No software needs to be installed. Complete interaction with the system is done via a web interface. This allows the system to be updated remotely and evolved as needed without replacing components.
High performance
A control unit guarantees detection up to 600 m with twelve alarm contacts. It controls up to 240 sensors distributed over six 100-meter cables. The zoning function allows the configuration of 10 detection zones and the sensor with intrusion attempt or cable breakage is located with pinpoint accuracy. The system is very insensitive to external weather conditions (rain, wind, desert, etc.), as well as resistant to electromagnetic environments. The three native alarm transmission modes in the control unit give the G-Fence 2400 a clear competitive advantage over systems available on the market.
The product will be backward compatible with G-Fence 600/600Z systems. Thus, no new installation is required; only the control unit board needs to be replaced - and the detection system has evolved.
Sorhea will also present its new products at the SicherheitsExpo trade fair on November 24 and 25 in Munich, at booth C 12.
DACH sales manager Heiko Viehweger will present the company's key technologies there: Active Infrared, Detection Cables on Fences, Dual Technology Detectors, and our new software for integrating Sorhea's So-Map and Smart Bridge products.
