Integrated security manufacturer TDSi is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Jeanes as Internal Technical Support Engineer. Dean joins the Technical Support team to assist installation partners and customers with systems integration and enhancements having honed his technical expertise in the British Army.

Jon Hooley, Technical Support Manager at TDSi commented, “We are delighted to welcome Dean to the TDSi team. Having been a Communications Systems Engineer in the British Army, Dean has the perfect blend of technical skills and training that make him the ideal choice to support TDSi’s integrated access control solutions. With an upsurge in demand for our solutions in the UK and internationally, this is the ideal time for us to grow and enrich our team of technical specialists to ensure our partners and customers continue to get the full support they need and deserve.”

Reflecting upon his career to date, Dean commented, “I joined the British Army in November 2013 as a signaller based in 3rd UK Division, and over the following years I have cultivated multiple skills, pushing myself physically further than ever before and travelled a good portion of the world. However, I made the decision to leave the British Army and try something different and joined a telecommunications company, where I further broadened my experience as a network engineer in a commercial environment.”

Dean added, “Once the opportunity to work for TDSi presented itself, I knew it would be the ideal career progression for me. I feel so lucky as I had been looking for a chance to progress further in the IT industry and TDSi has really welcomed me into the team.”

With a broad range of hobbies including a keen interest in DIY and as a passionate supporter of local professional association football club AFC Bournemouth, Dean also enjoys golf, rugby and going to the gym. As part of his passion for technology, he is also a keen PC gamer.

Dean is currently completing internal training for his new role at TDSi and stated, “Initially, I am really focusing on building on my fundamental understanding of access control and where TDSi (and its competitors) sit within this ecosystem, although I am already helping our installation partners and customers with their queries. Once my product knowledge has grown, I am looking forward to training others on how to use our systems to reap the full benefits of fully integrated access control.”
