Teletrust: initiative "IT Security Made in Germany". For the 8th time Teletrust was represented at the worlds biggest IT-Security conference, the RSA Conference 2008 in San Francisco. The association brought more and more German IT specialists as exposition partners on board.

14 companies and the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) presented their products and competences at the Teletrust Partner Pavilion – twice as much than in 2007, as CEO Dr Günther Welsch said.

Welsch regards the strong interest of the association‘s members as a sign of the growing international influence of German IT-Security experts. Thus a new agenda item was included into the conference program of RSA this year: presented by the president of the BSI, the panel „Trustworthy IT-Infrastructures within Germany and beyond,“ focussed on the productivity of the German IT-Security branch.

Simon Ford (NCP Engineering), Dr Kai Martius (Secunet Security Networks), Prof Norbert Pohlmann (Institute for Internet Security, FH Gelsenkirchen) and Marco Smeja (CV Cryptovision) reported on the successful partnership between politics and industry in designing trustworthy IT applications and security infrastructures.

On the opening day of the RSA 2008 exhibition six experts, from top companies such as Steve Lipner from Microsoft and Claire Vishik from Intel, gave a report on the newest findings.

Teletrust, the German Consul General Rolf Schütte and Dr Udo Helmbrecht, President of the BSI, invited experts from Germany, Europe and the USA as well as representatives from user areas and administration to the „Deutsche Abend“ (German Evening) Reception in the German Consulate General in San Francisco.

Companies at the Teletrust Partner Pavilion are Nexus Technology, IICS, Sefirot, Softpro, Sirrix, Securstar, NCP Engineering, Secunet Security Networks, CV Cryptovision, Atsec Information Security, Fraunhofer Institute SIT, Tuvit, T-Systems GEI and Secrypt.

The pavilion is sponsored by the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWI).
