Telia Towers Norway chooses iLOQ smart locks to enhance security
iLOQ has signed a ground-breaking agreement with Telia Towers Norway for the deployment of its innovative battery-free and keyless smart-locking system across the company’s more than 1000 tower sites.
The rollout of iLOQ’s advanced locking system has already commenced, with a goal to replace Telia Towers’ existing locks throughout their footprint in Norway over the next two years. The existing locks can be quickly and easily replaced with iLOQ’s smart locks with no changes to the existing infrastructure needed.
iLOQ’s technology will enhance both convenience and security by enabling secure and keyless access to Telia Towers Norway sites. Support with the administration of iLOQ’s smart-locking solution will be provided by the experienced iLOQ distributor Assistent Partner.

“We already had a digital locking system with physical keys from another manufacturer. The transition to iLOQ’s keyless smart locks makes key management significantly more efficient for us and our tenants. Access rights are sent directly to the phone, which also supplies the power to open the maintenance-free lock. Previously, we had to outsource key storage to a nationwide security company. But, with iLOQ’s solution, key handling is seamless. Technicians don't have to travel to validate, pick up and return keys, which can be time-consuming and a big challenge in the west and northern parts of Norway where you often have to take a ferry or two,” adds Martin Gyllenhammar, Production Manager, Telia Towers Norway.
“There are many companies within the telecom sector who already have iLOQ phone keys for their sites. Additional phone keys from Telia Towers can be sent to iLOQ’s app running on their smartphone giving them seamless access. iLOQ’s solution also gives Telia Towers proper traceability of who has accessed what sites and when if, for example, an alarm is triggered at the site,” concludes Thomas Sommerfryd, Sales Manager Infrastructure, iLOQ Norway.
