Tyco International Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ed Breen joined U.S. Congressman Allen West, Boca Raton Mayor Susan Whelchel and several other dignitaries to dedicate the company's new 171,000 square foot facility that will be home to more than 700 employees.

The facility at 1501 Yamato Road consists of a three-building campus that will serve as the North American headquarters for ADT, the world's leading provider of security products and services. The facility will also be home to ADT Latin America, Tyco's SimplexGrinnell business and Tyco corporate employees.

"With nearly 5,000 employees in Florida, Tyco is committed to doing business in the Sunshine State," said Breen. "This new facility allows us to bring together employees from our different businesses in a cost-efficient space that meets our current needs and provides us flexibility for future expansion. We thank our state and local officials for their support of our move to this new campus."

Tyco signed a long-term lease for the facility in August 2010 and recently completed an extensive renovation of the campus. The renovation work included the installation of energy-efficient lighting and environmentally-friendly work stations as well as advanced videoconferencing facilities and security systems. A committee of employees participated in the selection of many of the interior designs for the new facility.

Building amenities include a fitness center, cafeteria, extensive meeting and collaboration space and a promenade area with services including doctor and chiropractor offices, a salon and dry cleaners.
