UFIS Airport Innovation: RFID case study. UFIS Airport Innovation AS (UFIS AI) has joined with other Nordic companies to do a case study on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).

The goal of this project is to illustrate and demonstrate the benefits of using this technology to new users.

The company has already implemented RFID technology in its baggage handling systems in Oslo‘s Gardermoen Airport.

Using this knowledge and experience it has partnered with RFID Lab Norway, UPM Raflatac Finland and the Nordic Innovation Center in this study to communicate the bigger picture of RFID advantages in the transportation sector.

RFID is expected to be an integral part of the airport infrastructure in Scandinavian airports within the next decade.
