According to the 2017 annual report from professional research institute IHS Markit, Uniview has been ranked as the 6th largest manufacturer in global video surveillance market with 2.8% market share. Looking into different product categories, Uniview ranks fifth in the global network security camera and back-end video surveillance equipment, and fourth in Linux-based recorders.

In recent years, the rankings of the top 10 largest video surveillance manufacturers has had little change. Uniview is the only company that has continuously improved its ranking over the last four years. Uniview was ranked as No.12 in 2014, advanced to No.8 in 2015, and increased to No.7 in 2016. In the domestic Chinese market, Uniview is ranked as the 3rd largest manufacturer in the video surveillance industry.

Uniview plays a prominent role in the international market. In 2017, Uniview gained 50.5% year-on-year growth. The fast development of Uniview derives from the endless pursuit of quality and innovation. By the end of 2017, Uniview had applied for 1,477 patents, 83% of which are innovation patents. With the newly established R&D centers in Xi’an and Jinan, Uniview owns 4 R&D centers in total. Unview will be insisting on high quality, bringing more advanced and stable products along with “Security + AI” solutions to global customers.

IHS anticipates that artificial intelligence, data privacy protection, and the EU GDPR regulations will become key factors in stimulating the rapid development of the security industry. It is expected that the market rate of the global video surveillance industry will increase 6% in this upcoming year.
