Vanderbilt, a global leader providing state-of-the-art security systems, announced today that it will preview the upcoming ACTEnterprise access control solution at this year’s IFSEC International, June 19-21, at ExCeL London. Along with demonstrations of the solution, visitors can explore the wide range of products that Vanderbilt has to offer at Stand F305, with a significant focus on increased integration both within and with third-party systems.

The latest version of ACTEnterprise will be released in August, but visitors can see the new feature sets in action on the show floor. These additions include integration with the Assa Abloy wireless product range, a rules mapping engine and PoE Ultra, and an ACTEnterprise app.

Outlining the versatility of the new ACTEnterprise feature set, Michael Moyna, Technical Product Marketing Manager at Vanderbilt, explains:

“The smartphone app offers ultimate flexibility for users in any application environment and ensures convenient connectivity to the system day or night. Key holders no longer need to visit their premises out of hours, with quick access to the pulse of the system, notifications, cardholders and doors actions can be administered from the palm of their hand.”

Further explaining the depth that the new ACTEnterprise feature set will bring to the product’s strength and depth, Andrew Fulton, Head of Access Control Product Line at the company, expands on the benefits of the latest version:

"At Vanderbilt, we put high stock in being agile, adaptable, and dependable. In 2018, the market trend for physical, logical, and intelligent automatic configuration is increasing, with customer expectation leaning toward one-time data entry for users, permissions, configuration, and system behavior.

“As such, Assa Abloy Aperio wireless components now integrate into the Vanderbilt ACT system. Moreover, the wireless functionality of the Aperio components are faster to install, meaning a cost-effective solution for adding mechanical door locks to an existing system, as well as requiring minimal additional hardware,” concludes Fulton.

Integration will continue to be a priority, with significant focus being placed on technology partnerships that enhance Vanderbilt’s functionality and reach in the market. On top of ACTEnterprise’s integration with Assa Abloy, the solution also interfaces with Vanderbilt's award-winning intruder detection system, SPC. In addition, the much-touted SPC-Milestone plugin will be on display.

This plugin enables users to control SPC from within the Milestone system. The plugin is aimed at improving the customer experience by providing a bi-directional communication strategy with the enhancement of a robust surveillance solution in line with the ethos of “the customer first." The SPC Milestone plugin features options such as filters for event transmissions, remote interaction based on customizable command profile, while ATS/ATP logs offer transparent communication.

Vanderbilt will also be sharing its expertise in Software-as-a-Service solutions, with “how-to” demonstrations on ways that installers can get the most out of the company’s award-winning solutions, ACT365 and SPC Connect.

"We understand the issues our customers' face, and our solutions are designed to meet these needs," states Pauline O'Riordan, Head of Intrusion Product Line at Vanderbilt. "Software-as-a-Service solutions have many obvious benefits to end users. But let's not forget the wealth of benefits these solutions bring to an installer's business. Take for instance the benefits of selling our SPC Connect or ACT365.

“These solutions require no server specifications, no SQL, and no complicated network routing. All diagnostics, technical issues, and servicing can be carried out from a web-based portal or smartphone. Plus, they provide the opportunity to earn recurring revenue by charging the customer for hosting, additional customer service and providing fully managed security services,” states O’Riordan.
