VCA Technology has announced that it has worked with Mirasys to integrate its video analytics suite VCAsys into Mirasys networked video recorder (NVR) solutions including NVR Pro and NVR Enterprise.

The VCAsys video analytics suite can now be seamlessly integrated within Mirasys NVR solutions to allow users to benefit from a wide range of video analytics functionality. Both companies are committed to open architecture and have partnership programmes that extend out to a wide base of best-of-breed partners across the security and surveillance industry to ensure access to the best software.

VCAsys contains VCAtracker, a high performance tracker which delivers outstanding object detection levels coupled with low false alarm rates. VCAtracker can track 100 objects simultaneously and allows 40 user-defined detection zones. Other VCA applications utilise VCAtracker to apply rules to the monitored scene to extract specific data, such as VCApresence for motion detection and VCAsurveillance which offers a full suite of tools including detection, flow analysis and counting.

Geoff Thiel, chief executive, VCA Technology, commented:
"We are very pleased to work with Mirasys who are widely recognised as the leading European video management solution. Integration with a wide range of products from camera manufacturers to video management software providers is essential to the success of VCAsys as it allows end-users and integrators to guarantee compatibility with an existing or proposed solution. Working together to ensure the successful integration of VCAsys with a market-leader in video management such as Mirasys is very exciting and we look forward to further strengthening our partner relationship in the future."

Jukka Riivari, chief executive office, Mirasys, commented:
"VCA Technology has produced a very powerful, intuitive and easy-to-use video analytics solution which overcomes some of the core issues of the previous generation of video analytics offerings. We are glad to see that our open VCA platform gain acceptance in the marketplace. As a company, Mirasys has always encouraged partnership with technology companies who can further increase the potential of the Mirasys solution to our end users and we believe VCAsys achieves this."
