Vicon announced the hiring of Lawrence de Guzman in Singapore to better manage the growing local business in southeast Asia. Mr. de Guzman has been hired as VP APAC reporting to Bret McGowan, Sr. VP Sales and Marketing.
Mr. de Guzman has an extensive background in international sales and marketing, as well as Senior Management for high-tech, high-growth companies. He brings a wealth of experience, having been a business driver within the IP Video Surveillance and Management industry. Prior to joining Vicon, he held increasing roles at Milestone Systems, most recently as Director of Global Key Accounts, Verticals and OEM Sales and Sales Operations. Prior to Milestone, he was Global Marketing Director and Managing Director Asia Pacific for Axis Communications. He has lived and worked in the geographic areas of Europe (over 13 years total in Scandinavia), Asia (9 years based in Singapore) and the US, where he is originally from (Southern California). Lawrence has an Executive MBA from California State Hayward/East Bay and a Business Administration degree with a Computer Information Systems focus from Cal State Dominguez Hills in the USA.
