Visual Defence: intelligent transport system contract with Société de transport de Laval. Visual Defence, the security convergence company, announced that it has been awarded a CAD$ 2.6 million project to provide the Société de transport de Laval (STL) with an intelligent transport system.

The system is designed to improve operations, communications and service quality through the integration of multiple streams of traffic data into a common management system.

STL services the City of Laval, the third largest city in the province of Quebec, with a fleet of 230 buses and an annual ridership of more than 18.8 million passengers.

The intelligent transport system will utilize sophisticated convergence technology from Visual Defence to provide STL with the ability to monitor vehicle routes, status and schedule adherence in real-time.
