Xtralis: acquires ASIM Technologies. Xtralis has acquired leading PIR detector manufacturer ASIM Technologies as part of a strategy to bring complementary products and expertise to the business and deliver wider solutions capabilities to its customers.
ASIM will play a central role in Xtralis’ growing portfolio of products and services, targeting life safety, business continuity and security solutions. It is hoped that the acquisition will create new sales and marketing opportunities, as well as enhancing the company’s already extensive new product development programme.
EMEA Marketing Manager for Xtralis, Helge Rognstad, said that securing the acquisition was an important move for their future growth plans. ASIM Technologies, which is also noted for its expertise in Traffic Detection and Traffic Data Acquisition Systems, is headquartered in Uznach, Switzerland.
