Bosch Security Systems: speaker for large area coverage. Bosch Security Systems’ ceiling-mounted loudspeaker system combines high speech intelligibility with good music reproducibility. The system’s stylish and innovative hemi-directional design, moreover, generates sufficient sound pressure to cover around 600 m2 (depending upon mounting height), making it very well suited for large venues with high ceilings.

Omni-directional public address loudspeakers offer many advantages, such as broad coverage and little installation effort. A drawback of current designs, however, is inconsistent sound reproduction over the coverage area, with flat spots in the high-frequency response.

The company has addressed this drawback in its new hemi-directional PA loudspeaker with an innovative acoustic design (patent pending).

Using 14 specially positioned speaker drivers combined with advanced filtering, the design eliminates flat spots in the frequency response.
