CEM Systems: intelligent multi-technology card reader S610. The S610 reader marks a new hardware platform within the CEM S600 range of intelligent readers.

Available in versions supporting serial connectivity (S610s) or on-board Ethernet connectivity (S610e), the readers feature a newly designed IP 65 rated enclosure and support a range of card technologies including 125 KHz proximity, 13.56 MHz MiFare and Inside PicoPass.

The benefits at a glance are:

  • Multi-technology option – simultaneously reads both proximity and MiFare smart cards to enable clients to easily migrate from traditional proximity to smart card technology, 
  • modern enclosure – complements the architectural design of modern office buildings, 
  • offline card validation – large internal database to provide access control at all times, even if communication is lost from the host system server, 
  • LCD graphical display screen – cardholders receive messages of card swipe responses on a graphical display screen e.g. Access Denied, 
  • selection of ‘door modes’, 
  • S610 has pre-defined door modes such as ‚Turnstile‘ and ‚Equipment Enable‘ mode with specific door open times and alarm parameters, 
  • complete door control and ease of installation.
