Cytotoxic Safety Cabinet
The Cytostar cabinet has been designed to protect the material to be manipulated from contamination and to protect the operator and the environment from cytotoxic contamination and harmful agents.
Cytostar has been manufactured according to EN 12469:2000 and DIN 12980:2005 standards, with about 70% laminar flow recirculated air and 30% exhausted air with prior HEPA filtering. Built for handling cytotoxic drugs Cytostar is also suitable for product, personnel and environment protection while handling harmful agents pathogenic to human beings and/or animals as defined in the appropriate international standards.
Cytostar cabinet is especially suitable for applications such as: preparation and handling of cytotoxic drugs, presence of agents likely to cause genetic alterations or synergetic activities with other materials. Since Cytostar cabinets meet also EN12469:2000 as for Class II Microbiological Safety Cabinet, they can be used also for: Microbiology, Virology, Haematology, Cell culture, Recombinant DNA.
