This Panomera system is based on the patented multifocal sensor technology and provides continuous coverage of large areas while maintaining a high level of detail. Airport airspace can be monitored efficiently thanks to its wide vertical capture angle directed upward. This makes the system ideal for the detection and observation of all types of airborne objects. Larger flocks of birds or unauthorized flying objects can also be detected and assessed at an early stage.
All relevant image areas are continuously recorded in full and remain available for evaluation. This enables seamless event tracking and detailed forensic analysis after the event. The exceptional performance of the Panomera S4 Skyview is based on the special arrangement of the lenses inside the housing that enables the sky to be monitored while the camera is horizontally installed. This form factor offers decisive advantages in practical operation: the lens front is better protected against precipitation such as rain or snow. In combination with the Panomera Sunshield, direct sunlight is prevented while weather protection is further enhanced.
In addition, the camera can be combined with innovative technologies such as the Dallmeier Air Blast System to actively remove dirt from the front surface and ensure permanently clear visibility. This is achieved contact-free and therefore wear-free by means of compressed air. The combination of multiple sensors delivers a real-time resolution of 40 MP as well as an effective dynamic range of 130 dB UWDR. As a result, clear and detailed images are generated even under difficult lighting conditions.
Modern video compression with H.265 at up to 30 fps as well as support for edge storage ensure efficient recording. In addition, the system fulfills all requirements for open system integration and data protection with ONVIF Profiles M, S, and T as well as GDPR-compliant functions.
The Panomera S4 Skyview is designed for permanent outdoor operation. An IP69 housing with integrated heating and double-shell convection cooling ensures reliable operation even under demanding environmental conditions. The absence of moving components – such as those required for PTZ cameras – also significantly reduces maintenance effort. With regard to installation, the camera is fully compatible with the Mountera mounting system for easy and versatile installation.
Part of Dallmeier’s comprehensive solutions portfolio for airports, Panomera S8 Runway systems provide high-resolution monitoring of ground areas and runways, while the Panomera S4 Skyview enables targeted airspace surveillance. In virtual and remote tower scenarios, the Panomera S4 Skyview also provides additional security by covering areas behind the tower.
