FLIR Systems: integrated ranges

FLIR Systems: integrated ranges. Ifsec is a very important marker for FLIR Systems. It is the first UK show at which the company will exhibit under the combined colours of FLIR Systems and Cedip.

The company acquired fellow infrared specialist Cedip earlier this year, a move that in broad terms will provide even better R&D capability, enhanced core competence and greater scope in production and distribution. The integrated ranges will trade under the FLIR brand name.

Both companies already have a strong presence in the production of thermal imaging cameras for security and surveillance applications. “Their combined forces will take this technology into a new league on so many fronts,” commented Andy Teich, President of FLIR Commercial Vision Systems.

“One of the main benefits is that as from now FLIR Systems is able to offer an incredible choice of cameras to suit every application and every budget.”

The options include cameras with Vanadium Oxide (VOx) microbolometer detectors or cooled Indium Antimonide detectors. And thanks to this corporate development the choice now extends to cameras with Mercurium Cadmium Telluride (MCT) detectors for long range security and surveillance applications.
