Optex: REDSCAN mini-Pro – GSA25 Finalist

The latest evolution in LiDAR technology, OPTEX REDSCAN mini-Pro adds a new level of security intelligence by combining the precision and accuracy of LiDAR intrusion detection with an in-built Infrared camera for ultra-fast visual verification in both indoor and outdoor high-security environments.

REDSCAN mini-Pro analyses the size, location and distance of moving or loitering objects to accurately and precisely detect intruders to a range of 20mx20m. Designed to work in both indoor and outdoor short-range applications, the sensors can be mounted horizontally to create invisible laser planes to protect roofs, skylights and ceilings or vertically to create virtual laser walls to protect high-value assets, perimeter gates or facades.

Part of the award-winning REDSCAN series, REDSCAN mini-Pro was developed in direct response to a market need to address the two fundamental requirements of high-security sites: the highest capture rates with the minimum number of false alarms.

While surveillance cameras with analytics can offer a semblance of detection, they falter when it comes to discerning depth. REDSCAN mini-Pro, with its intelligent LiDAR detector, can accurately pinpoint an object’s exact location, its size, and movement direction; and dramatically reduces false alarms, ensuring that when a threat is detected, it’s genuine.
