Pfuderer: RTS-Ring transfer system

Photo

Pfuderer: RTS-Ring transfer system. Pfuderer has developed an assembly system, whose stations can be worked through with opened doors under observance of the safety regulations.

For this:

  • the swivelling area was divided into three safety zones.
  • A switching cam was installed on the swinging outrigger of the control panel, which covers a swing range of approx. 110°.
  • 3 cam switches were installed on the operating panel boom: Only one switch is activated by each switching cam. The control unit identifies in which region the control panel is situated and only unlocks certain protective doors. The opened protective doors remain in view of the installer.
  • a panel for two-handed operation has been installed: during the individual steps an additional button must be activated with the free hand. The installer is always outside of the danger zone.
