Security Robotics: Autonomous Mobile Security Robots (AMSR) (GSA27-56)

Autonomous Mobile Security Robots (AMSR) are AI-powered, networked systems designed to perform security tasks independently. Against the backdrop of a growing shortage of skilled workers in the security industry, they provide a reliable and scalable supplement to existing security structures. By utilizing modern sensor technology such as video, thermal imaging, sound, and anomaly detection, they continuously monitor their surroundings and enable efficient surveillance of buildings and facilities.

The systems handle patrols, perimeter surveillance, as well as inspection and monitoring tasks, and support security personnel particularly in repetitive and potentially dangerous activities. At the same time, they enable data-driven analysis of security-related events, allowing risks to be identified and assessed at an early stage.

By integrating into existing security architectures and control centers, information is provided in real time and made available for operational decisions. Autonomous mobile security robots are designed to complement human security personnel and help relieve personnel burdens in a targeted manner.

AMSRs reduce personnel and financial burdens and create scope for strategic resource utilization. They increase efficiency and responsiveness, improve the quality of security processes, and, through their low-emission operation, contribute to the sustainable reduction of costs and CO₂ emissions.
