Tamron Europe: M12VG412 objective. The first ½” Vario objective (with DC diaphragm) from Tamron, which was developed for cameras with megapixel resolution, supplements the Tamron megapixel objective range for 1/3” cameras (3-8mm, F/1.0; 2,4-6mm, F/1.2; 5-50mm, F/1.4) with a solution for large format sensors.

For this objective, Tamron has used everything which the company has developed over the past years. The objective has hybrid aspherical lens elements, such as are also used for the megazoom objectives of DSLR cameras.

Together with Tamron’s patented ND filter (which reduces distortion effects for almost completely closed diaphragms) and AR coating, the objective is able to obtain maximum image quality from ½” megapixel cameras under all lighting conditions.
