Electromagnetic interference has always been a major issue for planners of fire detection systems as it can easily lead to costly false alarms. Surely today‘s detectors usually comply with all the norms such as the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, but this is not enough. The risk of false alarms caused by electromagnetic interference does also highly depend on how and where these detectors are being installed.
