Arecont Vision expands its activities for the EMEA region and has appointed four new sales representatives in Europe. Waldemar Gollan is the the new Regional Sales Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and Bo Oerbjerg will handle the Nordic region. Marc Wesley will be covering the U.K. and Ireland while Aleksey Berezin will be the new Regional Sales Manager for Russia and other Commonwealth Independent States, as well as the Republic of Georgia.

"The European marketplace is important and continues to grow along with the demand for Arecont Vision megapixel camera technology," explains Scott Schafer, Arecont's Executive Vice President. "Integrators and end-users in these regions have quickly embraced the use of megapixel cameras to significantly improve image quality, boost system functionality and minimize costs. The appointments of Waldemar, Bo, Marc and Alex will help us continue that momentum."

Waldemar Gollan has represented global manufacturers offering advanced technology including NVRs, encoders, video analytics, video management solutions and unified video platforms for more than eight years. Mr. Gollan previously worked in sales, product management and technical support in the IT networking market. "Megapixel cameras are a great opportunity to increase the efficiency of IP-based video surveillance systems as they
elevate image quality to a much higher level," said Mr. Gollan.

Bo Oerbjerg was previously a business development manager for the German security manufacturer Mobotix. He has a background in IT technologies and experience developing business relationships in the Scandinavian countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. "I enjoy the challenges of bringing state-of-the-art technology products and solutions to market. The benefits of high-end video surveillance solutions employing megapixel cameras and the transition from analog to IP-based systems is an exciting growth category to embrace with a leader like Arecont Vision," said Mr. Oerbjerg.

With over 23 years of sales and management experience within the security industry, Marc Wesley joins the Arecont Vision team after his previous positions at global security firms such as Pelco U.K.. Ltd., Dedicated Micros and Norbain. Mr. Wesley, as the new Regional Sales Manager for the U.K. and Ireland will be focusing on building new sales channels throughout the region while promoting Arecont Vision's multi-megapixel camera technology solutions.

"Although the British and Irish markets were some of the earliest adopters of CCTV technologies for public spaces, this market remains ever changing. Megapixel technology is in high demand for every vertical market and new installation, and I look forward to growing with Arecont Vision here in the U.K. and Ireland," commented Mr. Wesley.

Aleksey Berezin joined the Arecont Vision team in 2006, and over the past 5 years, worked in the facilities management, IT and domestic sales departments. He currently acts as Manager of IT in addition to his new role as the Regional Sales Manager for Russia and other Commonwealth Independent States, as well as the Republic of Georgia. "I have risen through the ranks here at Arecont Vision, and as one of the original employees of the company, I have witnessed first-hand how the security industry has grown and equipment has evolved in such a short period of time. I hope to continue to ‘lead the way in megapixel technology' through the anticipated success of Arecont Vision in the Russian region," stated
Mr. Berezin.
