American Science and Engineering (AS&E" announced today the receipt of an order for one Sentry Portal cargo screening system from a government agency to protect an airport in Asia. Aviation security officials will use AS&E's Sentry Portal cargo inspection solution to inspect air cargo pallets and containers prior to being loaded onto the aircraft.

"The Sentry Portal's high-throughput, high penetration capability enables aviation security officials to inspect very dense and complex cargo while providing a rapid cycle-time for inspection," said Anthony R. Fabiano, AS&E's President and CEO. "The Sentry Portal system will provide a reliable means of detecting threatening materials and contraband hidden in air cargo containers without impeding the flow of commerce in the high traffic airport environment."
