Norbain's new MD: Barry Shakespeare

Norbain announced the appointment of Barry Shakespeare as new managing director. With a career that spans over 30 years' in the telecommunications and computer industries, Barry brings to Norbain a wealth of experience gained within large multi-national Corporate and SME companies, including Honeywell, Case Communications, Nortel Networks and more recently the Westcon Group.

Spanning roles encompassing technology product manufacturing, sales, and distribution, Barry's depth of experience is demonstrated with a proven professional track record of substantially improving company performance, customer service and profitability.

Barry takes over from Norbain Group Ltd Chief Executive Alun John who has also been acting as managing director of Norbain SD Ltd pending the appointment. This will enable Alun to concentrate on the development of Group strategy and expansion of Norbain's business in all its existing and planned markets.

This combination of skills and experience will be critical in the development of Norbain's service offering as the IT and security markets converge.
