Evac+Chair: 10,000 customers. Evac+Chair, the emergency evacuation chair with a 20 year pedigree, has just reached the significant milestone of 10,000 customers.
These customers span many diverse markets from retail and leisure to education and the public sector. Many of the chairs installed are also on contract where full after-sales training, and regular maintenance and servicing are provided.
It is gathering pace as an emergency solution as tighter health and safety regulations are coming into force with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) and the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requiring building owners to have a means of evacuating people with mobility difficulties.
The chair fits the bill as it enables a single user to evacuate a person of up to 150 kg quickly and easily.
