G4S acquires Detcon S.A. in Argentina

Security Group, G4S has acquired Detcon S.A. in Argentina which designs and installs fire detection, CCTV, building management and access control systems.

No price has been disclosed but the Group says that Detcon has gross assets of $2.3m and sales revenue of $4.5m in 2010. The acquisition complements the acquisition of Control Systems Argentina S.A. in October 2009 by expanding the group's presence within its current customer base as well as providing access to other targets which are currently using complementary technologies.
