ImmerVision has entrusted the mission of Director of EMEA Sales and Operations, Video Surveillance Applications, to Charles-Michel Gongora. With 25 years´ experience in video surveillance sales and business development for companies such as Hymatom, Dedicated Micros, Arecont Vision, and IndigoVision, Gongora´s mandate is to expand the market for ImmerVision Enables panomorph lenses and immersive viewing functionality throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

ImmerVision´s Video Surveillance Application Business Unit is encouraging major camera and software manufacturers to adopt and integrate ImmerVision Enables panomorph lenses into proprietary products. Initially, Gongora will be promoting the 360° ImmerVision Enables Fujinon 2 MPx lens to meet the needs of banks, airports, government facilities, educational institutions, and other high-security markets. Ultimately, Gongora´s goal is to support the growth of ImmerVision´s leading-edge 360° panomorph technology and promote it to all sectors of the video surveillance industry.
"It´s an honour to join the ImmerVision team, and I look forward to bringing our business partners 360° ImmerVision Enables solutions," said Gongora. "The panomorph lens attaches easily to existing standard analog or IP cameras, giving them immediate 360° viewing capability while eliminating blind spots and capturing more detail than any other panoramic lenses, including mirror and fisheye."
Alessandro Gasparini, SVP Sales and Marketing and CCO for ImmerVision, noted that "Gongora has a proven track record of effectively selling in this market and EMEA territory. He also has success leading large-scale video surveillance projects. Combined with his in-depth understanding of IP and analog video technology, this makes him the right person for the position. We are confident that Gongora will create new business opportunities for 360° applications in this growing market."
Charles-Michel Gongora and the ImmerVision team will be at the Fujinon Booth E25 in Hall 5 during IFSEC 2011, from May 16-19, in NEC Birmingham.
