Logan Teleflex: intelligent baggage handling for Anchorage. Logan Teleflex has won a major contract worth over US$ 7.7 million to supply a class-leading solution for Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska.

The Logan Teleflex intelligent BHS with in-line screening will enable the airport to meet strict security measures and better service the significant expansion in passenger numbers and airline traffic at this important Alaskan airport.

The Logan Teleflex BHS solution is in two parts: outbound and inbound systems.

The 385-foot inbound system has two manually loaded conveyor lines that convey baggage from ramp level to baggage claims. Each inbound conveyor line discharges baggage to its own dedicated stainless-steel sloped-plate claim carousel.

The inbound system incorporates an oversized-baggage slide for those items that cannot be transported by the conveyors.
