Identive Group announced that security industry veteran Marc Freundlich has been appointed President of Identive's Multicard division and a Vice President of Identive Group. In this newly created role, Freundlich will join Identive to oversee Multicard's worldwide operations, with the aim of accelerating the growth of the division's global ID management business.

"Multicard combines deep skills in ID card architecture and Web-hosted identity management services, coupled with extensive printing, issuance and personalization capabilities, which provides Identive an excellent platform in one of the fastest growing ID segments," commented Ayman S. Ashour, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Identive Group. "Marc's extensive experience in the ID market, his proven ability to lead and his extensive global experience make him a perfect fit to lead Multicard. Marc and I have worked together in the past and have known each other for many years. I am very pleased to welcome him to the Identive team."
Freundlich brings a strong background in the access control and identity management market as well as experience leading global organizations to achieve revenue growth, market innovation and profitability. Most recently serving as managing partner of Global Management Solutions, a strategy development and management advisory firm, his professional experience also includes the roles of President, ASSA ABLOY Hospitality; President of Indala, a global market leader in secure RFID solutions; and Vice President Business Development for HID Corporation. Freundlich holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Vermont.
