Mirasys has announced that Norbain has been appointed as a distributor of Mirasys products in the Middle-East region. Following the company's expansion into Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait in February 2010, Mirasys will work with Norbain, who currently act as the route-to-market for Mirasys operations in both the United Kingdom and Benelux, to strengthen its presence in Middle Eastern regions which are seen as key growth areas for the coming year.

Norbain's distributor partnership with Mirasys in the UK and Benelux has seen 100 percent growth in the UK over the past 12 months, and the plans to develop this co-operation into the Middle East result from increasing local demand for IP based CCTV technologies. Mirasys and Norbain have already seen strong results through this new regional collaboration, with a number of projects already underway in which Norbain have supplied Mirasys products to bolster local surveillance installations.

Jukka Riivari, CEO of Mirasys, has stressed his commitment to Mirasys' ongoing partnership with Norbain, stating that, "Norbain is a key global distributor of CCTV solutions, and our work together in the UK and Benelux has helped to establish Mirasys as a leading provider of open platform video management solutions in Europe. Expanding this relationship into the Middle East will allow both companies to benefit from new markets opportunities, and Norbain's established presence in the region will further contribute to the success of the relationship moving forwards."

Paul Ramsay, Divisional Director, Norbain SD Ltd, commented, "Mirasys has an excellent track record around product innovation, and offers quality analogue, IP and hybrid solutions while providing the kind of flexibility that our customers require to seamlessly migrate from analogue to IP video surveillance platforms. We are delighted to be expanding our strong distribution partnership with Mirasys into the Middle-East, where we look forward to working together to increase business profitability and become ever more competitive in an extremely dynamic market."
