Moxa has named Jens Holzhammer as managing director of Moxa’s European operation. Holzhammer will zero in on verticalization and promising niche markets, including the railway and renewable energy markets, by intensifying end-user relationships and optimizing indirect sales channels, as those markets have potential and hold an optimistic future for Moxa.
“We are glad that Jens brings a broad horizon of technical and commercial expertise to the position with his extensive knowledge of various industries and experience in developing new markets and customers, which forms an optimal basis for Moxa’s growth and strengthens its presence in Europe,” said Bee Lee, President of Global Sales and Marketing Group at Moxa.
"Moxa combines startup-like agility with the stability of a larger business, and it is well-positioned in a very attractive growth market with double-digit growth rates, where we’ve seen enormous opportunities for significant business expansion when digitization in the industrial environment has just begun and demands for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and cybersecurity applications are about to surge,” said Holzhammer.
Holzhammer succeeds Martin Jones, who will take on a new role focusing on expanding the rail business he has already built up at Moxa, which is now one of Moxa's core markets in Europe. Holzhammer most recently served as managing director of the European subsidiary of Kathrein, one of the leading manufacturers of wireless telecommunications infrastructure including mobile radio antennas and IoT/ RFID solutions. Other roles in his international career include sales and marketing leadership at Commscope (telecommunications infrastructure), Fluke Networks (IT network metrology), and Rohde & Schwarz (RF metrology).
He graduated from RWTH Aachen with a M.Sc. in electrical engineering, and received a Master of Business Administration from Henley Business School.
