Napco announced that it has received UL approvals on its new NAPCO Commercial platform, Gemini GEM-C Series Systems. The new commercial grade 24 Volt platform includes modular systems and components which can provide 8 to 255 points of addressable or conventional, wired or wireless commercial fire or intrusion, as well as unique UL-compliant combination "combo" panels that provide intrusion/access and fire together in one. Now that UL approvals have been granted for the new GEMC System, marketing is commencing without delay.

Richard Soloway, Chairman and President, stated, "We are pleased to have received UL 864, 9 th edition commercial fire and UL 1610 commercial burglary and as well as commercial wireless compliance approval, which is required by law in all 50 states and establishes a new category of commercial professional fire products for Napco, which we believe is one of the most lucrative segments in the security industry. We have worked diligently on this product with over 3 years in development and UL testing. Potentially, it will be a major contributor to Napco's revenues and profits as the market for commercial fire/life safety products is estimated at over a billion dollars, with average installations costing more than USD 16,000, most commonly in office buildings, factories, shopping centers, retail stores, hospitals, schools and universities, respectively. A key differentiator in the Napco system is its modularity and built-in labor saving features. Dealers can configure a robust large or small system, providing burglary protection as well as 24V fire and access control with feature rich modules which are integrated and easy to install and operate. Marketing the scalable Napco Commercial Platform to the 20,000+ security dealers and integrators is underway and we anticipate strong market acceptance," Mr. Soloway concluded.
