Georgios Kastias, Operations Director at Apollo Fire Detectors

Apollo Fire Detectors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Georgios Kastias as its new Operations Director.

Bringing a raft of experience to the role, Georgios’s appointment reflects the commitment made by Apollo to achieving organisational excellence within the company, spearheaded by a dynamic and effective leadership team. Georgios was born and raised in Greece, before obtaining a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, followed by an MSc from Cranfield University and, more recently, an MBA at Imperial College Business School. He joins Apollo from Danfoss, where he held the role of Operations Director, transforming the business into a high performing organisation, by focusing on operational excellence and effective cultural change.

Speaking of his new role, Georgios said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Apollo leadership team.  Apollo has an excellent global reputation and I’m excited at the opportunity to apply my international operations experience to further enhance our manufacturing systems and processes through the application of lean best practice.”
