With the preliminary figures, Perimeter Protection is building on the success of the previous event: Around 200 exhibitors are expected in January on over 15,000 m2 of gross exhibition space.
The preliminary figures show that Perimeter Protection is still on course for success: With around 200 exhibitors, the event in January will be able to maintain the level of success from 2023. Due to the upcoming legal changes, the demand for information and the need for exchange in the industry is high:
“I believe that there have never been so many changes in perimeter protection in such a short time as there are today,“ explains Wilfried Joswig, Managing Director of the Verband für Sicherheitstechnik e.V. (Association for Security Technology). The anticipation for the upcoming industry meeting as part of the trade fair for perimeter protection, fencing and building security, which will take place from 14 to 16 January 2025 at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, is therefore huge.
“I'm looking forward to many constructive discussions on shaping further development and am excited about the results of the talks, but also about the further development of the exhibits on show,” says Joswig.
High-ranking experts and important future topics at the specialist forum
The specialist forum is an important and integral part of the trade fair and offers an indispensable opportunity to expand specialist expertise and exchange ideas with participants. It is organised in cooperation with the Verband für Sicherheitstechnik e.V. (VfS) – Association for Security Technology – and the UAV DACH e.V. – Association for Unmanned Aviation.
“Perimeter Protection 2025 will be characterised by two key topics,” says VfS Managing Director Joswig, announcing the forum programme. “One is the umbrella act for critical infrastructure protection and the other is artificial intelligence (AI) in perimeter protection. There are interesting developments on both topics, but also a lot of unanswered questions. This is also reflected in the programme of the specialist forum but will also be the subject of many discussions and expert talks. I would be delighted if many users from the critical infrastructure sector took the opportunity to find out more about the possibilities of physical protection for their properties.”
Further highlights in the specialist forum:
- Large-scale surveillance and border protection from the air
- Efficiency and automation – using drones to combat the shortage of skilled labour
- Drone defence: experiences at major events
Full programme of the specialist forum will be available here.
Minister of State Herrmann once again patron
It's not just trade visitors who can find out about the innovations in the industry: as in previous years, Minister of State Joachim Herrmann, Bavarian Minister of the Interior, for Sport and Integration, will be the patron of Perimeter Protection and will be on site with his own tour on the first day of the trade fair. “Once again this year we can all look forward to a trade fair that covers every facet of mechanical, electrical and electronic measures for perimeter and building protection. This is an important contribution to security, which is of the utmost importance to all of us,” said the patron in an extract from his welcoming address to Perimeter Protection 2025.
