Assa Abloy’s Ecliq Smart Key Technology Wins Prestigious 2023 Awards

The Plus X Award is awarded in seven categories: innovation, quality, design, ergonomics, ecology, ease of use and functionality. Products are permitted to carry a quality seal permanently for their relevant awarded categories.

This renowned seal indicates products which genuinely stand out from the crowd. It underlines the value-added, outstanding features of the awarded products — and helps consumers and end-users to make more informed product choices.

Assa Abloy’s Ecliq electronic locking system was awarded the 2023 Plus X Award in four separate categories: innovation, quality, ease of use, and functionality.

Four recognitions for Ecliq programmable key access control
“We are very proud of this great recognition for our Ecliq products. This motivates us to continue our success," says Mathias Leichtle, Marketing Manager DACH Region at Assa Abloy Opening Solutions.

The innovative Ecliq solution is a fully electronic key access management system which offers a high level of protection against both physical and digital tampering, as well as other intelligent attacks.

The integrated chip-based technology is extremely robust. Waterproof and programmable, Ecliq keys simplify decentralized administration. They are familiar and user-friendly to operate, powered by long-lasting standard batteries or innovative energy-harvesting technology.

“Customers who choose Ecliq can bring almost any opening at their site into an intelligent access management system,” adds Stephan Schulz, Cliq Product Manager at Assa Abloy Opening Solutions EMEIA. “A range of more than 60 durable Ecliq cylinders secure lifts, machines, mailboxes, cabinets and more with the same control as doors. The software is easy to use. Plus all Ecliq cylinders have a high-quality flush fit, so they don’t look like part of an electronic locking system. It is powerful access control that does not draw attention.”

The ecosystem is particularly popular in the industry, healthcare and infrastructure sectors — all of which demand high levels of both security and flexibility from an access control solution.

HVI Light Plus for Lightning Protection Applications

When installing bare, uninsulated air-termination conductors on the roof, the separation distance to electrical and metal systems installed under the roof surface must be maintained in accordance with the current lightning protection standard DIN EN 62305-3. Cable installations, pipe systems or metal parts are frequently installed under the roofing in direct proximity to the air-termination system / down conductor, thus posing a proximity issue. The solution is isolated air-termination systems with high-voltage-resistant, insulated down conductors.

DEHNventil ACI M: Standard-compliant Surge Protection in Industry

High demands are placed on the availability of switchgear in, for example, industrial plants, data centres, hospitals and large administrative buildings. This makes surge protection essential. At the same time, replacement of the surge protection module should not influence system availability. The new DEHNventil ACI M TNS 264 FM has no backup fuse and is flexible in terms of its application. In the event of a fault, the protection module is safely disconnected and can be quickly removed from the base part from either side or the front. The touch-safe design allows the protection module to be replaced without system downtime. The ACI technology employed also enables connection cross-sections of just 16 mm2. This facilitates installation and saves time.
