The Axis Q6411‑LE Bispectral PTZ Camera combines thermal and visual imaging in a single PTZ system and is designed for security‑critical outdoor environments where reliable detection and verification are required under all lighting and weather conditions.
The camera features a bispectral design that integrates both a highly sensitive thermal imaging module with a NETD < 20 mK and a visual module with 2‑megapixel resolution, a ½‑inch sensor, and 31× optical zoom. This enables precise capture of thermal signatures over long distances as well as visual details of fast‑moving objects.
For operation in complete darkness, Axis OptimizedIR is available, providing an illumination range of up to 150 meters. The camera offers a 55° field of view, a tilt range from +20° to –90°, and 360° endless pan, allowing full coverage of extensive outdoor areas. Its robust housing meets IP66, IK10, and NEMA 4X standards, ensuring reliable performance even in demanding environmental conditions.
The integrated Deep Learning Processing Unit (DLPU) enables AI‑powered video analytics directly on the device. With the video analytics software Axis Object Analytics, people, vehicles, and vehicle types can be detected, classified, and tracked. For perimeter protection, Axis Perimeter Defender is also available—an edge‑based intrusion detection analytics solution optimized specifically for thermal cameras, providing reliable classification even over long distances. Features such as auto‑tracking and an automatic orientation aid support targeted object tracking. The AI‑based masking function Axis Live Privacy Shield also enables privacy‑compliant image areas.
The camera is built on Axis’ in‑house developed ARTPEC‑9 system‑on‑chip, which provides optimized processing of thermal and visual images, high light sensitivity, and support for the AV1 codec. Axis Zipstream, the company’s high‑efficiency video compression technology, reduces bandwidth and storage requirements, while Axis Edge Vault with FIPS 140‑3 Level 3 certified key management provides a hardware‑based cybersecurity foundation.
