Bosch Upgrades DiBos Hybrid Video Recorder

Bosch Security Systems has announced a new software release for its DiBos Hybrid Video Recorder offering enhanced display capabilities. Among other features, Release 8.7 offers optimized widescreen 16:9 support comprising seven new views in a special widescreen layout. In combination with popular widescreen displays such as the Bosch 42RTH 42-inch high-performance LCD monitor, the enhanced display capability now available on the DiBos Hybrid Recorder will offer superior video surveillance complying with the current standard for LCD monitors.

DiBos Release 8.7 also offers Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) support for Bosch megapixel IP cameras, which delivers a higher and more stable frame rate performance than Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). In addition, the digital zoom function has been enhanced with the new release. Video images are now capable of providing 7 instead of 3 digital zoom steps, making zooming-in much smoother than previously. It is now also possible to digitally zoom Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) cameras just using the mouse wheel. Moreover, with DiBos Release 8.7 up to 256 pre-positions defining camera angles can be configured for each PTZ camera.

The new release also offers improvements in operator convenience. It is now possible to configure the recorders remotely either via the remote receiver software or via another DiBos recorder. The DiBos Hybrid Recorder is part of Bosch's digital video recorder range which also includes its latest addition - the Bosch Divar XF Hybrid H.264 Recorder targeted at medium to large CCTV system solutions.
