Cameras with True Day/Night Surveillance Capability

Photo

Panasonic System Networks Europe announced two new additions to its fixed analogue box camera range within the WV-CP290 Series. The two analogue cameras, the WV-CP290 and WV-CP294 are both highly versatile for a wide variety of locations and can provide installers with additional flexibility options to help maximise all-important system scalability, reliability and cost performance, all key factors in today's price sensitive contracts.

Both the CP290 and CP294 have a CS lens mount allowing installers to fit varifocal and other types of lenses such as WV-LZA61/2S and WV-LZ62/8S. Additionally they feature newly developed DSP to optimise the use of Adaptive Black Stretch technology, an algorithm that transforms shadows and dark areas into natural crisp images without degrading image quality in bright areas, all in real time. For security professionals this means greater visibility and better security in varied locations.

The camera's True Day / Night functionality supports an impressive minimum illumination of 0.8 lux in colour and 0.05 lux for B/W. This combined with switchable IR filters, further enhances low light performance and the interchangeable white balance modes of ATW and AWC for the adjustment of neutral white colour make the cameras a steadfast 24-hour sentinel.

In addition, image quality is enhanced further through adjustment controls including; Back Light Compensation, Auto Tracing White Balance and Automatic Light Control. The 1/3 inch CCD sensor with 752 (H) x 582 (V) pixels means the 290 series cameras deliver a high resolution image of 540 TV lines and an image that ensures security operatives can capture enough detail to improve detection rates and deliverable security.
