Idis demonstrated extended camera and recorder program at IFSEC

Further extending its choice of robust, high quality video surveillance equipment, IDIS has launched a comprehensive range of price competitive cameras and recorders for fast-fit and multi-site projects at IFSEC.

The new DirectIP and HD-TVI DirectCX cameras and recorders are packed with essential and easy-to-use features to meet the surveillance demands of small to medium sized businesses and multi-site implementations such as retail outlets.

Visitors at the IDIS stand saw the introduction of new 4- and 8-channel DirectIP and DirectCX recorders, with 4-channel compact models that can be conveniently desktop or wall mounted.  This adds to the 1-Series range of recorders, building on the popularity of the DR-1204P 4-channel compact NVR, which was launched earlier this year.

DirectIP NVRs (DR-1304PC/DR-1308P) offer simple plug-and-play installation, built-in PoE switches and up to 70Mbps throughput with 240ips viewing and recording. The new DirectCX recorders (TR-1204C/TR-1208) work seamlessly with the IDIS range of HD-TVI cameras and support long transmission distances over coax cabling.  Both IP and HD-TVI recorders feature one-click network configuration to support fast and simple multi-site rollouts.

New cameras include two competitively priced, plug-and-play, full-HD IP dome and bullet cameras; three new HD-TVI IR domes and two bullets; plus, a further two 5MP high-performance models.

“We have been working closely with our customers as we extend our range to cover even more applications,” says James Min, Managing Director, IDIS Europe.  “This choice of cameras and recorders for simple and rapid installations adds to our technology suite and will be appreciated by everyone who loves working with IDIS technology.”

As with all IDIS products the new line-up is easy to install, intuitive to use and extremely hard wearing. Customers can also mix and match analogue and IP and seamlessly operate both through IDIS video management software, IDIS Center or IDIS Solution Suite.

HVI Light Plus for Lightning Protection Applications

When installing bare, uninsulated air-termination conductors on the roof, the separation distance to electrical and metal systems installed under the roof surface must be maintained in accordance with the current lightning protection standard DIN EN 62305-3. Cable installations, pipe systems or metal parts are frequently installed under the roofing in direct proximity to the air-termination system / down conductor, thus posing a proximity issue. The solution is isolated air-termination systems with high-voltage-resistant, insulated down conductors.
