Network Dome Camera to complete Panasonic's i-Pro Smart HD CCTV camera range

Photo

Panasonic's i-Pro Smart HD range of network dome network cameras was completed by the WV-SW395. The feature-packed camera uses Uniphier technology, enabling simultaneous H.264 (High-profile) and JPEG video streams over IP for monitoring and high-resolution video recording. The newly developed 1.3 megapixel double speed MOS sensor with full frame transmission of up to 30 fps at 720p HD resolution, gives high quality images at an impressive 1280x 960 image size.

Panasonic's weather-proofing fan, heater and sun shield mechanisms allow for changes in temperature between -40 °C and +50 °C and the integrated dehumidification device circulates air within the dome removing condensation to ensure perfect camera images in all conditions. The new dome camera also has an IP66 rated water and dust resistant housing - extending its lifespan, minimising intervention/ servicing and therefore reducing total cost of ownership.

The new user dedicated 'Drag and Zoom', 16-speed PTZ operation features an auto-flip permitting, 360 degree map shot that provides a more concise full 360 degree field of view. The map shot is separated into eight thumbnail images taken at 45 degree intervals during monitoring; clicking on any thumbnail easily directs the camera. Additionally, the dome camera offers an impressive 36x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom coupled with high sensitivity 0.5 lux (colour) and 0.06 lux (B/W) at F1.6. Face detection function detects the position of human face and the information is sent by XML or video stream while Face Super Dynamic technology also ensures clear face image. VMD (Video Motion Detector) with 4 programmable detection areas, 15 steps sensitivity level and 10 steps detection size, allows a Privacy Zone to be set to mask up to 8 private areas, such as house windows and entrances/exits.

Panasonic's all weather addition to the i-Pro SmartHD line-up, the WV-SW395 network dome camera, with intelligent user interface and dehumidification device ensures an extended life span and reduced total cost of ownership making it the smart CCTV investment.
